What are you asking for?

First time mom here, I'm planning to have my baby shower at the end of November, we don't have much for places in town to register, so I'm thinking Amazon, Walmart and Carters? Any other places you would register online? 
Are there any speciality items that you guys have asked for/ received in the past that was awesome and/or helpful?! Just want to make sure I have all my bases covered!

I asked for two convertible car seats instead of an infant seat. we bought the infant seat ourselves but the convertible carseats are low $ 2-300 EACH so it will save us a lot of money in the end as we would be spending $4-600 just in carseats alone when he grows out of his infant one which I heard happens fast.

I'd suggest putting things on your registry that you will definitely need during the first few months of baby's life, such as bottles, burp cloths, crib sheets, onesies, swaddles/sleepwear, changing pad/covers, thermometer, nail clippers, etc. You can always get the non-necessities later. Our family ended up gifting us a lot of our larger items (crib/mattress, stroller, carseat, breast pump). At my shower, we received a TON of large quilts/blankets and stuffed animals--things we didn't register for, and way more than we need. A lot of things we registered for and didn't get are things like nail clippers, thermometer, hair brush, and little things like that, so we will just buy those ourselves. And we also got a lot of diapers and baby wipes--definitely not complaining there!
