When is another ultrasound done ?

I am 30 weeks and haven't had an ultrasound since 18 weeks. Does anyone know when another ultrasound will be done? I haven't gotten a chance to ask my Dr yet . I'd really like to see my baby and how much he has grown !

Our doctor does a 36 weeks scan to check the babies growth.

Most places only do 2. Dating scan and anatomy scan. After that they'll only do them if medically necessary. Chances are you won't be having another one

You shouldn’t get another one unless dr thinks something is wrong or you feel like something is wrong. Usually you only get two ultrasounds.

Last ultrasound I had was at 24 weeks. It was a 3d one and I did it just for fun. Haven’t seen her since and I’m 38 weeks.

I had one at 6, 12 and 20 and I'll be having a 3D US at 32 weeks because my insurance allows me to get one. I believe that will be it for me.

My current doctor does a ton for some reason. I’m not high risk but had one at 9 weeks, 13 weeks, 20 weeks, 36 weeks, and will have one more at 39 weeks if I make it that far.

Usually the anatomy scan is the last one unless the baby isn't in position or something else comes up that they need to check on.

It differs from practice to practice. My doctor only did an early transvaginal one at around 11 weeks. As well as the 20 week Anatomy scan. After that she says they only do an ultrasound if you are high risk or feel like something is wrong.. otherwise you can pay for it out of pocket but I didn't really feel like dishing out the extra cash. I was hoping to get another one because it seems like a lot of people have scans after 30 weeks but that's just not how my doctor's office does it :/
