Tips on doing anal?

I have done anal with a previous boyfriend twice, but it was 2 years ago. 
My current boyfriend wants to try it and so do I, but I am kinda nervous even though I’ve done it before.

LUBE LUBE LUBE! Remind him to take it slow, make sure there’s enough foreplay to really get in the mood. Also I tried “comfortably numb” anal lube and it made a world of difference, numb and slippery enough not to hurt but not numb enough that you don’t feel it
