This girls a friend to me, but she considers me a best friend. She's a lot younger and we talk here and there but not constantly or anything. I'm getting induced next week and I'm naming my son Cal. I like it, it's short, not common and I think it's cute for a baby name and an adult name. but really nobody else's opinion matters right? So this is what the girl sent me referring to it sounding like "kale"

I think when anyone tries to have a say on the name it's rude, it's purely up to you. Weird I just saw this post my bf just told my son his grandpas name was Calvert and I was saying how I've never heard that before and Cal could be short! I like it a lot!! F what anyone else thinks. With my first son I had someone stop talking to me because I named him Vincent and they hated the name. I didn't miss them one bit ;)

Cal (like Calvin without the vin?) if that's it, it's super cute and something that can sound professional when he's older. As for Kale....I have a friend who actually named her son Kale. 🥗 Not my thing, but to each their own.

Idk it depends on who is saying it tbh. If my old friend from high school said this to me I’d snap on her, but if my girl in Virginia had said this I’d just laugh.
