7w1d First Ultrasound - Age 41

I hope this gives others hope. We had our first ultrasound this afternoon and saw our baby’s heartbeat for the first time. 148 and measuring right on track. We had transferred 2 BB day 5 blastocysts but we are pregnant with our rainbow singleton. Keeping all fingers and toes crossed this little guy keeps growing. Miscarriage rate drops to 10% after 7 wks with heartbeat but I’m still holding my breath. 🦄🌈🦄

In case anyone is curious we did and estrogen primed (no BCP) IVF right before my 41st Birthday. Our protocol was 300 IUI gonal and 75 menopur and I stimmed for 10 days. We retrieved 6 eggs and 2 made it to 5 day (nothing to freeze). We did a fresh transfer of both embryos and we did not do PGS/PGD testing.

Prior this this IVF we had done 1 clomid timed intercourse, 1 clomid IUI, 2 gonal f IUIs (one of which resulted in a chemical) and we tried 1 IVF that was cancelled due to a cysts at the start of the cycle. We had a missed MC 3 years ago.

Hoping this is our rainbow baby.
