Section ladies...... how soon after did u get your period?

Question

I'm 2wks1day post section and everything had calmed down lochia wise..... to the point of stopping
but now I have a bright red blood this morning -like the start of a period..... surely it can't be? 
even these two weeks of lochia it has never been red/full blood just discharge..... 
just curious and after advise .... thanks

My body kinda kicked back into gear and started like it normally would back on the same schedule the first month but after that mine didn’t stop for 3 months.

I breastfed and apparently that delays it but I got it about 8/10 weeks after.

My period came back at 4 1/2 weeks pp . I’m also not breastfeeding so that probably has something to do with the return of the period. At my 6 week pp check up my dr said that this was indeed my period since lochia had stopped at three weeks and this was heavy and for my usual 5 day period and to track it to see if I get a period next month but that bleeding off and on during the first 6 weeks is normal and some women have bleeding off and on for 12 weeks since that’s how long it takes for your uterus to return to its place .

That’s probably still lochia. Anything in the first 6 weeks is considered normal lochia. You may want to alert your doc though because you could have retained placenta that is causing it.
