HELP are you supposed to move piercings when youre cleaning them?

I'm confused i just got industrial and belly piercings a week ago and some people say to move the jewlery and others say not to and also is it bad that my belly piercing doesnt stop hurting? like it feels tight and its red and i cleaned it yesterday and there was like yellowish liquid i dont think it was puss tho and inbetween the piercing the skin is super hard HELP

With my lip, I was told to move it around after cleaning. That way the solution gets inside and cleans up any infection that might be growing. It sounds like your piercing is infected, so make sure you’re cleaning it really well!

You shouldn’t move piercings-that what my piercer tells me everytime i see her (especially when im complaining of pain 😅 I typically touch mine) yellow liquid is puss. Id maybe go to your piercer and ask if its ok. My belly button piercing was actually a a really easy heal so I didn’t experience anyof that. Are you doing sea salt water soaks?

My belly button ring took FOREVER to heal. I always moved it around when I cleaned it, but I’m not sure if that helped or hurt it since it took me so long to heal.
