due 9/24 he came right before induction on 10/3

I'm a little late in posting this, but I have been trying to come to terms with how everything went. it was a Monday night , we were watching football and I was due to be induced the next day ( I was excited for this bc it meant my doc could deliver him) I had a sweep Monday morning and I just had this feeling he was going to come on his own. I started having contractions during the football game but I was in denial bc I was so over due and I figured when I laid down they would go away. I turned on my contraction timer and laid down .. after an hour I checked it and realized that I was having a contraction every 5 minutes or so, I was like oh crap this is really happening, woke up my husband and we headed to the hospital. We got there around 2 am and they admitted me. I was only 2cm at the time and 80 %effaced but my contractions were coming every 2 min or less. I spent the entire day switching sides bc every time I had a bunch of contractions in a row, his heart rate dropped. at one point it was so low that 6 nurses and 2 doctors came into my room , so imagine my surprise when around 3 pm I finally made it to 10cm. (they wanted to give me a low dose of pitocin to speed things up but couldnt bc of his heart rate)I didn't think I would bc of his heart rate.. I started pushing ...after 2 hours I felt like something wasn't right . like he felt stuck ... the doctor came in and tried to get me to push with everything I had for another hour ... He was stuck in +2 station and wasnt moving .. the doc said it was either my pelvis or the position of his head.. we decided it was best to do a csection..so I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to have the birth I wanted. I cried for hours just feeling like my body totally failed me, my baby is 16 days old now and the love of my life. I am just happy he is here. thanks for reading , I just had to get that out. the whole hospital was talking about my birth. they said I was a great pusher.. at least I tried ! here's my baby now
