Group B strep?

Question

Had an appointment with my midwife last night and she gave me a swap to do and give to my pathology centre when I get my 36w bloods done. I've never heard of it. What's the chance I have it? Anyone had it and had some sort of symptom? 
Just she told me that they will induce me if I test positive which I'm really not keen on for some reason.

Its one of those natural bacterias your body produces. Some people will have it with one pregnancy, but not their second. Its common. And its likely she wants to induce you to make sure you are able to have the right amount of antibiotics in your body before delivery. Its nothing to worry about

Its a simple quick swab you swab the entrance to the anus and another swab is for the entrance to the vagina 
Ive never heard of doing it yourself 
Group b strep is dangerous to the baby which is why they test you for it some drs will induce simply because you need antibiotics while youre in labor some drs wont and just make a note in your charts that you need iv meds the moment you cone in for labor and delivery on your own

You don't have to be induced if you have it at all, that's a lie. You would just need to get an IV of antibiotics during labor to prevent spreading it to your baby. I had it, was not induced and my son is perfectly fine.

No need to induce. You'll just need antibiotics when you go into labour. If your water breaks you'll need one dose asap and then another every 4 hours. I had it and still had a natural labour without induction. Also request they use the iv that can be disconnected and locked so you can still move around in between doses.

Its honestly pretty quick and simple i had mine done yesterday... I am having a csection but I still had to have it done its just a pregnancy thing that needs done kinda like the glucose test
