Early visit to OB

Today I had an early visit to my OB due to cramps and bleeding. Before telling anyone I was pregnant including my so I wanted to get confirmation so I went to planned parenthood. They told me I was at risk for an ectopic pregnacy or a miscarriage due to the bleeding I was scared to death after I left there and had to wait 8 days to see my OB. But today they checked me and told me everything looked okay! :) However she had my blood drawn and told me she would call me tomorrow with the results and if my Hcg levels were greater then 20000 I wouldn't have to go back for more labs on Thursday. But as of right now I'm 4 weeks 4 days wouldn't that be to early to get a number that high?
