Pill question?

Question

I normally take my pill at 9AM. I've always been good at it except yesterday because I was more focused about my driving test... Remembered it at 12NN and took it immediately. Was I right for doing so or should I have waited to take 2 today? I took today's at the usual time as well, did i do it right?

Just wanted to know for future reference.. Thanks!

You did the right thing. You take a missed pill as soon as you remember that you didnt take it. And then take the next pill on time like usual. If you were only 3hrs late and it was a combination pill, you're most likely fine (they generally have a max window of being 12hr late & still having full effectiveness, as long as its not a frequent issue). If its a minipill then some of those have a max of 3hr late, and others have a max of 12hr late. Either way, you can use a backup method for 7 days if you're worried. :)

When you miss a pill. Take is asap and then the next day take your pill at the Normal time. But you may not be protected from pregnancy for a week or so. It should say this is the instructions that came with the pill
