Castor oil?

What are your experiences with castor oil to induce labor, if you have tried it please let me know if it did anything... how far along were you? How fast did you go into labor? How did you drink it? Thank you!!

Do not do it why would you want to even risk the health of yourself and your baby 
It can make you very sick have diarrhea and dehydrated and can make the baby poop inside the womb which can be deadly

please don't do this. there are so many risks including infant loss that come along with this. baby will come when ready as old as that sounds it is true.

I'll be honest I tried it but I was already in early labor so honestly it didn't do anything for me. I did have a bowel movement during active labor which could have been because of the castor oil and my son did have meconium but we had no issues. Did he have meconium because of the castor oil? We don't know. Honestly I wouldn't do it. Try to go walk, do some yoga, try other things to get that baby out. I've heard spicy foods can irritate your bowels too 😜

It causes bowel contractions and can cause the baby to ingest meconium. I advise against it.

I'll be honest I took it at 38 weeks but I was also 2 cm dilated and 75 percent effaced. I took very little. And I ended up getting horrible contractions that I couldn't even sit down, I walked all over my house and did squats trying to relieve some pain...and then I walked in my kitchen and my water broke. And I had my son 5 hours later. Who knows if it was the castor oil or if it was just my time to give birth. 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

Not worth it!!! Don't do it. Be patient if possible.
