How many weeks for maternity clothes?

I'm just 5 weeks along. I'm about 5'2 and 128lbs. I keep seeing that maternity clothes aren't needed until a few months into pregnancy. I don't need them now I'm not big enough but even at 5 weeks my pants are tight around my belly area. I know it's just bloating at this point but they're still slowly getting tight.

I use a rubberband through the trasition phase. If you have a pair of pants that the zipper wont stay up you can use a rubberband for that as well. All my shirts cover the button gap so I dont wear a belly band

Idk if you have a kohls or a maternity section in yours but I got cute clothes at the one I went to. I was about 16 or 17 weeks along because NOTHING fit me. Lol at 15 weeks my doc told me my uterus felt like 18weeks because I'm such a small person. You can find cute clothes. It's not easy to find them but you can. I've been gotten some regular non maternity shirts just a size or 2 bigger than my normal size that works too.

I'm 7w 3d and I have so much bloat that my pants were digging into my tummy and I wasn't comfortable at all. I went out and got maternity skirts and work pants. There is a huge sale at old navy 50% off.

I broke down today and bought some.  I'm only 4 weeks along but I have sooooo much bloating. I wear tighter clothes and work dresses so it made it very apparent that I was bloating out of them.

You should try a belly band. It's for that transition phase. You keep the belly band over your pants so that you can keep your jeans or khakis unbuttoned. It just looks like a cute undershirt.

Every pregnancy is different. I'm about your size and nine weeks along and I may not need maternity, maybe just larger sizes because I'm petite. There aren't any maternity stores near me anyway, and the offerings at Kohls and Wal-Mart aren't worth it, just a handful of different tops and bottoms.

If you're uncomfortable, try a pair of maternity pants. You probably won't need shirts for a while, but the pants can be so comfy. Just be aware that what fits you now probably won't fit the last month or two before baby comes.

I went into the under the belly dress pants for work. I tried the belly band a few times but it was too uncomfortable to wear while sitting at a desk all day. Now that it's warmer out I've been wearing dresses and skirts - so much more comfortable! Check out your local resale shops. It may take a little digging around, but you'd be surprised at what you can find for little cost.

I never have or will buy maternity items! They are not very cute. If I do decide, maybe jeans... But I doubt it!
