My baby girl is here

My baby girl is here!! I went in for a routine check up and during the cervical check, my OB felt her feet in my canal, along with her cord. Luckily, my amniotic sac was still intact but he feared my giing into labor/ water breaking and becoming a true emergency.

He sent me down to L&D with the promise of being the one to do my surgery. Despite the 12 hour shift the night before, he kept his word and was right there when it came time for my section. :) All went very well for a family centered c-section, every staff member was very sweet and attentive. I had everything I had requested, including clear surgical drapes.

She indeed was born feet first, and I was able to watch as she emerged. My doula started taking a ton of photos when given the okay. Aricia Spencer entered the world at 7pm, weighed 5lbs13oz and 18.5 inches long. She's just perfect!! :D
