Birth story 13 days later
So just wanted to post to let everyone know that not all birth stories have to be horrible and scary.. I went in to be induced on Oct 8th at 7am by 9am I was checked in and hooked up to monitors with Pitocin started at a very low dose,I actually asked them to turn it up because I wanted labor to go fast so my husband could get home to our toddler. My doctor came in and checked on me at about 10 am and said he was going to play tennis down the street till 12:30 unless they called him. The nurses I feel definitely prolonged my labor so he could finish playing. I asked them to break my water to move things along and they only did so once 12:30 came and my doctor would have been done playing. So my water got broken at 12:30 the nurse said we'll come back and check you in about 2 hours. After about 1 hour I could feel tremendous pressure and started shaking,I had my husband call the nurse to check me and sure enough the baby was right there. They called my doctor,he said he'd be there in 10 minutes another nurse suggested I push till he got there and my labor and delivery nurse said no way this is her 4th baby if she starts pushing that baby will be out. My doctor arrived and I started pushing after my episiotomy. The nurse asked me if I'd like to feel my baby while pushing(I'd never been asked before) when I reached down and touched her I started crying uncontrollably, she started crying before she was even out all the way with my 3rd push she was on my stomach crying with me. It was a really calm wonderful birth and we couldn't be more blessed! Thanks for reading and good luck on all of your births
