Cramps!!

I just started taking birth control because I’m on medication that if I get pregnant will cause birth defects early on in pregnancy if it where to happen. My doctor said she never prescribes that medication unless you are on birth control. I personally did not want the birth control but know it would be dumb on my part if I ended up pregnant and caused the baby to be affected, so I took it. I NEVER get cramps while on my period without the BC. But now that I’m on BC The cramps are SO SO SO BAD! It hurts all the time! Should I stop taking both medications? Bc it just isn’t worth the pain!!! How do you deal with cramps??
