What do I do??

Ever since I got pregnant, my mother in law has been OVERLY excited. She is constantly talking about being here all the time after he's born and she's really obsessive about babies. Like she'll just sit and hold them for hours. If she didn't live next door I wouldn't be so worried. but I feel she's going to try and take over on my child. I'm a first time mom so I'm really hoping to have at least 2 weeks to get into the swing of things and heal before people bombard me with wanting to see my baby. My father in law is already over every single day so I don't know if I'll be able to handle all the company!And my mother in law already has said my son is gunna be her baby and I'll have to  fight her to get any time with him. if she didn't live next door I would have laughed it off as her wanting to spend time with him. but I'm really worried she'll be overbearing and never let me have my child

Oh my...that is quite overbearing and....creepy.
Try talking to your husband and see if he can talk to her or the two of you together?
Boundaries need to be set before baby is here, when baby comes you’ll be recovering and tired and probably less inclined to argue- or say something you don’t mean.
That is YOUR baby
She may try to say her grandkid-but mother trumps grandmother in senses like this.
There’s no such thing as hogging your own baby.

Can always say your doc “said” no outside interaction besides mother and father for x amount of time. They likely will not take out anger on you then just your doctor whom they’ll never see and I’m sure the doctor won’t mind 😂 I know mine would say that for me!

I made it clear from the beginning, NO ONE is going to be overbearing when it comes to MINE. That's your baby, and you're a grown woman, she better take a back seat lol

I’d make a Facebook status saying no visitors for however many weeks just so she will see it but won’t know it’s just directed towards her 😂

Tbh I wish I had someone like that. It takes a village to raise a child ...you'll be surprised at how much you don't know and will need help. Googling things does not measure up to real life help or advice. Tge first two weeks are the hardest, and it's not just your baby you need to think of, you also need recovery time! Having extra hands is a blessing. Also,down the line having someone to rely on is priceless for going to work, date nights, emergencies etc. 
Try to think more of the positives. In our culture we respect our in laws and don't have that "monster in law" mentality lol. I think some are quick to demonize them , but they are just old school. Sure some boundaries should be set, but they obviously love you, and are excited.

Yea you def need boundaries with her and it should come from both of u! Also, hopefully some of it is just talk and she is just really excited but won't be as bad as you are envisioning.

My inlaws are the same way. I know eventually it's going to come down to me making my husband tell them to give us some space. They also have keys to the house but we put a bar on the door and sometimes I 'forget' to unlock it if i know they are coming but I don't want company. Good luck! I know I won't be able to handle company every single day.

My sons grandma is that way. My son is now 6 and she thinks she's his mom, I have told her many of times she's not his mom. Put your foot down before it even starts because it just gets worse. It even goes as far as hiding permission slips for field trips at school so she can go to them and I don't find out about the trips until the night before. Stand your ground and let her know who Mom is. She even had her dad (great grandpa) call me 3-4 days after we left the hospital wanting to see him because she "was about to have a mental breakdown" 🙄 I just wanted to be at home relaxing with no visitors.

Set some guidelines. One nice thing will be you can nap and heal and she’ll take care of him. I would say you need some boundaries. Clear and defined and have your husband on the same page as you. He will have to step up.
