Working a 34+ hour shift

My husband works from 7am to 5-7pm.

Well he went in Friday morning, 7pm and it’s now 1am and they STILL won’t let him come home. They have about 4-5 hours left of work to do and they expect him to come in at 7am Saturday, meaning after he drives home he will sleep for one hour.

He’s been working for 17 hours straight so far. He works on the pipeline and they have never done with before.

I’m just wondering if this is allowed? My husband called and said he is getting bitched at because he fell asleep but it’s 1am.. of course he’s falling asleep! He also hasn’t eaten dinner yet.

They will be done at 6am, but after wrapping it up, it’ll be 7am. His boss said they will then work a FULL day which is 10-12 hours. They want him to work 34-36 hours STRAIGHT. Plus the hour drive home
