So ladies, my due date was November 2nd
So ladies, my due date was November 2nd. But On Wednesday 10/18 I went to my doctors appointment where I had planned on getting my first cervical check and my blood pressure was really high, so before they could do anything they sent me straight to L&D. I got there, they determined I had preeclampsia and I was going to stay to be induced. They started with the pill ( can't remember the name ) that they put up my cervix every 4 hours, 4 times. As an attempt to start opening my cervix because I was at 0. Nothing happened no progress. The next step was the foley balloon. Now listen up ladies, if you have an option YOU DO NOT WANT THAT, I promise you. like if you hear those words, ABORT MISSION go home run for your life. It was the worst pain of my entire life, I couldn't breath I was screaming crying it was awful I was litterally begging them to just kill me. after 1 failed attempt to place it they finally got it the second time, and then started me on pitocin at the same time as the balloon. The balloon was supossed to fall out at 3cm. When it actually fell out I was so excited because it was so painful even after the fact and it was giving me contractions that were bareable but painful as fuck. but come to find out it didn't work and it fell out with me only being at 1 and a half cm dialated. So the next step was for me to start over with the cervix pills only this time take them orally, every 4 hours. After 2 doses I was at 3cm and they started me back up on the pitocin. My water broke at about 6 pm 10/20/17. From there I started getting awful contractions immediently, I screamed and begged for the eppidurral I was cussing all of the nurses out for taking so long, finally at 7 I got my epidural. It didn't hurt at all let me tell you, I instantly felt amazing. happy loopy just great. the 4 and a half hours it took after that for me to finally have my baby felt like a half hour. Baby cal was born 4 and a half hours later at 11:33 pm and ladies, I FELT NOTHING. pushing him was the most painless thing I ever felt, I was laughing cracking jokes the whole time. I only pushed for 18 minutes and my baby is here weighing 6.5 :) my advice? FUCK THE BALOON. That was the worst part.
