I just want to give some information to the ladies here in this forum.

We are often told that brown discharge is 'ok' as its old blood.

Very often, this will be the case. BUT....

Not always. I have had three pregnancies with no live births.

First ended in miscarriage at 11 weeks - no early brown discharge whatsoever, but started bleeding properly and miscarried.

Second I had dark brown sticky and watery discharge for over a week. It was a missed miscarriage and was classed as a pregnancy of an unknown location. This ended in a d&c; operation.

Third I once again had dark brown and reddy/muddy brown discharge, droplets, sticky and when I wiped. This was classed a another miscarriage.

Any bleeding old or new in pregnancy NEEDS to be investigated. Don't always take our words for gospel on here - very little of us know what is going on with your own bodies.
