where can I get clip in hair extensions that will match?

Is there a place where I can get a consultation to get my hair matched well to a hair extension piece that clips or ties in to a pony tail? I made a mistake and cut my hair too short to my liking. My hair is very fine (I have many strands of hair but the strands themselves are fine) so I'm finding it difficult to just go into a store and buy a piece that matches since the extensions are usually for women who have thick hair or they're too shiny. Any advice welcome thanks.
