Ever since I found out I was pregnant people have been telling things I do not want to know. All my co-workers have crazy lives I guess. So my one co-worker adopted her daughter but never told her she was adopted...I think that is crazy! Do you think that is right or wrong? I have another co-worker who had a daughter at 14 but didn't want to raise her, so she had her mom do it. She has always called her daughter her sister and the poor girl has no idea her sister is her mom!!!! They are crazy? Do you think it's right for her to lie about this? My poll is not asking If I should tell anyone anything. lol I just wanna know if yins think this is as crazy as me!

Both should be told, in my opinion. It would scare the heck out of me to find out late in life. I think you should tell from very early on. I found out someone I call my uncle is actually my half brother and I think it’s creepy and wish I had known from the beginning.

Honestly it's their lives and their decisions. They did what they thought was a good choice. Sometimes telling the truth would cause more harm than good.

People have a right to know their histories and birth stories. To find out later in life can cause a lot of upset.

Let’s be real here, the mother who adopted the girl is her mother. Period. She raised her in a situation where her biological mother probably would have put her up for adoption through an agency S opposed to givin her to the sister (adopting mom). That little thing where the girl doesn’t know her mom and it’s like🤷🏻‍♂️ mom’s are more than who’s vagina you came out of. 
I think it should be treated like any case of adoption to my knowledge. Kid is made aware of their adoption, and if the sister opts for an “open” like adoption they tell the girl who it is, and if the sister says no just make it private, the kid just knows she’s adopted

It is aNOT your place to decide ANYTHING it is THEIRS STAY OUT OF IT PERIOD 
So what the one was adopted as long as she is loved she is fine 
So what the other had her mom raise her child she was 14 she couldnt raise her child she was still a child herself 
It works for them keep your mouth shut go focus on your own family skeletons stop worrying about someone elses

I'm adopted but I've always known so. I don't remember at any point my adoptive parents telling me, it's just always been know. On the other hand, I've known 2 girls, both great friends, who's family decided it was in their best interest not to tell them they were adopted- and it was a large portion of why one of them no longer has contact with her adoptive family. What's funny, if you can all it that, is the girl that stayed with her family had a child at 15, who she decided to keep her maternal connection from, and now that son hates her (I will add though she claimed his sibling when she had him at 17). In my own opinion it's lying. You don't lie to family. But it's not my place to say for every family because every situation is different.

Holy this is a tough one. I have a cousin that's adopted and tbh I don't think my aunt plans on telling her EVER. And I'm okay with that, for some reason I don't want her to know cause I feel like it's going to mess her up and she's going to feel so left out. But then again I feel like they have the right to know. Idk man.

I think you should always be truthful. There's always a chance of them finding out, which means the relationship they have may be ruined because of this huge lie.
