BC for 16 years.. now TTC for #1

I've been looking at a lot of your posts, but it seems no one has been taking BC for the length of time I have.

I was extremely irregular when I was 12, for a few months I had AF every, other, week, UGH!

Well, now I am happily married for over a year and we are ready to start the process!! my worry is my cycle will go back to it's "normal" and maybe I won't be ovulating "correctly".

Any if you ladies had issues similar to this? What was your experience?

Side note: My obgyn is a nightmare and has completely disregarded my concerns at all. I get that we have barely begun this process, I just wanted some insight!
