gender suprise

So me and the bf can't agree on this. I don't want to know the sex of my baby ( it's our first) cause it don't really bother me what it is as long as it's healthy. The other half wants to know but said if it isn't a boy first time round he'll be devastated. I said he can know if he keeps it quite and doesn't tell anyone but should I allow him to know seeing as if it's a girl he'll be obvs miserable so then I'll know and if it's a boy he'll be mega happy so I'll still know. Ladies I really don't want to know the sex I really don't but should I let him know?? Thoughts please
