Prenatal’s and constipation?

Does anyone else have issues with being painfully constipated? For some reason I think it’s because of the prenatal vitamins.

That sucks! 😫 Can you get a prenatal with probiotics or at least supplement with probiotics? I'm on Rainbow Light which includes probiotics and barely have those issues at all... I was prone to digestive issues even before pregnancy and the probiotics made a huge difference.

Me too! I have been told progesterone increases can cause that and it’s pretty common. My prenatal has changed a couple times so I don’t think it’s that. Drinking a lot of water, exercise, eating more fruit have helped me.

I thought that too, then I realized that I'm not drinking enough water. 8 glasses a day is hard for me

I agree!!!! I get so constipated and I'm tiny so my belly will look so big from it! Its not always painful but it sucks. What brand of vitamins are u on? I take the CVS brand. My doctor recommended this vital one but it doesnt contain as much folic acid and just a bit more iron which I don't think is a big concern

Ask your Dr for prenatal vitamins that contain stool softener and make sure you drink lots of water.  Also eating blueberries helps you go!
