Should I tell?

Question

I am expecting my first! According to the app I am 7 weeks tomorrow and I have a pre natal appointment over the phone next week and then I get to see a doctor after that. I won't get an ultrasound until 10 weeks I'm assuming but I really really want to tell my mom and stepdad. 
What would you all do?
I am also freaking out because I want to see it and make sure everything is alright! But I will just have to be patient.

if it was me, I would wait. 
BUT, I've also had a mc and my mom made it sound like it was harder on her than me, which still cuts deep! plus we've never had a close relationship.
if you are super close with them, then go for it!

Personally we told our family straight away (well within the week of finding out) aswell as our close friends. We have struggled with Fertility & were about to start our IVF journey in the coming months. We were just so excited & couldn't keep it a secret. We also wanted to know that we had their support should something go wrong. I know my family & close friends especially would have been upset if we hadn't told them, they are very close to us so it only felt right plus we wanted to celebrate the little life growing inside of me! each to their own but that's what we decided to do & don't regret it one bit. It's actually helped a lot with my anxiety that I had in the first few days. Worrying about a miscarriage that 'could' happen but now I'm focusing on the 75% of pregnancies that don't have problems.

Depends on how close you all are. i told my sister's the day i found out and my parents the next day. Im only about 5 weeks now.

my advice is a question. would you tell these people if you miscarried? if yes, then go for it! if no, wait til you have the ultrasound. :)

It's killing me not to tell them but for my dad and my step mom it would make them 1st time grandparents and I know my dad would tell his side of the family so I'm going to delay telling them as long as possible which is realistically only a few more weeks. My husbands parenrs ate really good secret keepers but I don't wanna tell them without also telling my parents ugh! I'm thinking I might tell my sister first before telling the rest of them. I'll try to wait to tell my best friends until as close to the 12 weeks as possible but might not be possible as we have Friendsgiving and stuff like that coming up before then. Planning on telling the rest of our extended family by mailing them an announcement since a lot of them are out of state and social media mid-December

I told my mom and step dad as soon as I found out. I'll wait until I'm 13 weeks before telling any more of my family. Personal preference! It's totally up to you.
