Need some words of wisdom

An

Hey ladies,

So I recently ended it with my boyfriend of 2 years because he was cold. He wasn’t affectionate and he made me feel horrible for showing affection, yet he expected us to somehow have intimacy and connection with one another. He wanted a relationship without doing the work to be in one. His feelings were up and down. He aligned his feelings of love with his feelings of happiness, which were surface level feelings of happiness. If we disagreed about something, he would take that to mean he didn’t love me. He was in and out of the relationship so much and yet made it my fault that we weren’t working out. He was very critical of me and vain and insecure about himself and took it out on me and our relationship. So I finally ended it. I couldn’t take it anymore.

My questions, however, are 1) how do you define your feelings of love and being in love? 2) Have you ever been with someone, or known someone, who didn’t know what love or being in love was/meant? 3) How did you deal?
