Hey guys! This is an update to my poll. I know you guys won’t agree with half of this but my fiancée and I had a VERY long conversation about what to do.

Just to answer some questions first:

1) as many of you know, I’ve said it a thousand times with the iPod. I was 16/17 and thought my parents would do the right thing. If it happened today I would be the first one at the police station with it in a bag saying please get this thing away from me.

2) I do want what’s best for my child. A lot of you called me nasty and disgusting and only one called me unfit (still hurt tho). The point of the poll was to make sure I was doing the right thing. I already made up my mind but I wanted to let you guys have a look at what was going on so I could see an insight into what you thought. Turns out, it’s exactly what I would have done.

Now the update:

He brought up the fact that my brother never actually went to a psychologist or accredited doctor. He’s been in a church support group that was not mandated by the courts. He suggested for right now, at least until my brother can get some help, only let him see his nephew in a public place. Never at their home, never at ours.

I didn’t agree with that. I told him it’s too dangerous that that it was my decision to which he replied I was right. I called my parents, who obviously bucked at the idea, and I told them by the time the child comes, if they cannot accept what I’ve told them, they don’t get to babysit or see their grandchild.

I just wanted to give you all an update on what was going on, and possibly lay some minds at rest. Hope this helps 💜💜💜
