Implantation bleeding or period ??

Hi everyone! So hubby and I are trying for. Baby # 2. My cycle is pretty regular (28 days). My period is due this Saturday October 28th. I noticed a mucus pink discharge (sorry tmi) when I wiped on Monday the 23rd (5 days before period). No discharge after that. It started again yesterday and today. Had a little brown tinge to it but still pink. I'm cramping today. I'm hopping it's implantation and not My period. I took a pregnancy test and it was a negative.

Has anyone experienced this?
