Diva Cup

I am currently on my third day of trying the Diva Cup for the first time. I was wondering if anyone that uses it has any tips on helping the cup to open up properly? I can insert it with little problem, but I am having trouble with getting it to unbend completely so it leaks sometimes. I find it impossible to turn the cup at all let alone 360 degrees like the package recommends, and moving my finger around it to give it more room seems to do very little.

I really want to give this lower-waste, healthier option, but I am having difficulties.
