My Hubby

He isn't like many other men in this world. Most run away from their responsibilities when they get a girl pregnant, he came after that boy left. When my daughter had just turned one I met the man of my dreams. He'd bring me flowers, chocolate, bath bombs and all other kinds of little stuff. Things people say they will stop doing but he got me chocolate a few weeks ago and then the week after brought me flowers. He never spends much but that's not the point, he thinks about me non-stop every hour. At first he was scared to be in a relationship with a single mom but soon realized we were worth it. We have been through so much and our journey has just begun. Every day he does little things that make my heart so happy though. He goes into a store looking for something he needs and walks out of the store with 10 things my daughter might like (food, snacks sunglasses) and nothing for himself. 2 years and he still goes out of his way for her and me. My daughter has seen her share of really sick days. When I first started seeing her step dad, she had a deadly allergic reaction and was very sick for a long time. He was there, her bio dad was not. She has had 2 surgeries again he was there, her bio dad went to 1. He gets up with her when she has nightmares, or is sick. Last night he didn't know she was up all night until I told him this morning. when she got up at 12:30am he knew I'd been up all night again. He called out of work and is staying up to take care of her so I can get some sleep. I love this man so much, I have no idea how I got so lucky. Best bonus dad ever, and the love of my life. I am so thankful this is how my life turned out. I hope all of you struggling through crappy relationships or marriages know that there is better out there. I know because I found one.
