July baby needs speech therapy , update

Update: he has his first appt with speech therapy tomorrow for them to access him. they are checking his hearing first.

so my son's pediatrician is having us start speech therapy. my son is 15 months and doesn't say any words yet. He babbles ALOT and it sounds like he is trying to speak but nothing recognizable or consistent is said. I know he understands what we say to him,because he responds appropriately. He also isn't walking independently yet, so the doc said the therapy place will get that going too but he is mostly concerned with the speaking. Anyone else's baby taking their time talking and walking.
