17th party ideas?

So I don't know where to post this but I'm freaking out. So it's may 2nd and my birthday is in July. However I haven't thrown a party since like I was 12. And it was so boring. However I was 12, I'm turning 17, and the bad thing is my birthday is in the summer😣, meaning people will get hot and pretty much want to leave. I don't wanna rent a place or do it at home. Or have a pool party, because that's renting. Any ideas please, yes I do plan my things early, it's too be sure how much I'll be spending.

You could do it later in the evening then it won't be so hot. Maybe do a bonfire if you can find some land or camping trip with a few friends and family. You could get a group of people together and go to a lake for the day or a water park, without having to rent anythjng. All depends on your location though.

What I'm doing (my grad party, a big thing since I went from a dropout to graduation with an honors diploma a year early) is serving barbecue and having buckets of ice with pop ice in them (the frozen plastic tubes of flavored ice) and having like a field day. We're doing water balloon kerplunk(a game made of wire, wooden dowels, and water balloons), lawn twister (spray painted grid onto the grass), and a few others. Then having a fire pit with smores and might have a projector for a movie once it's dark. If no projector then we'll all chill inside and watched a movie or play video games or something. I'm having little kids at my party as well, so all the games are a little childish but oh well, they're still fun.

I went to a fancy dinner for my 16th with all my friends, then they all came over for a slumber party. idk if that's an option for you?
