Would you have a nurse or doula who has never had kids?
So I’m in a degree program to become and OB tech, and I was talking to a friend that is a doula about her experiences and stuff. Someone we both know (who has 5 kids) said she would never EVER have a doula or nurse or anyone who was as young as we are, specifically because we wouldn’t understand what a women is going through emotionally and mentally during labor because we aren’t mothers. I thought it was really ignorant to say, but after thinking about it I was curious. What are your thoughts?
