So my fiancé asked me a few hours if we have a son, if I liked the name Dennis Jason. The first name (Dennis) is his dad’s name. I love his dad and he is amazing and helps us a lot, but I do not want to name my son Dennis. And the middle name (Jason) is his old neighbor who became a father figure/friend that he really looks up to and respects. Now my fiancé’s daughter from a previous relationship got her middle name from Jasons wife. My hubby really adores and looks up to them, I get it. He got to name his daughter and I understand he would obviously want to help name our child too. I just don’t like the name Dennis Jason and I explained that to him and how I did not want to name our son after his father because I don’t want there to be a comparison between the two, he will be his own person, I don’t want anyone to hold him to these high expectations to be like his grandfather. And we already found other boy names that we both love! He asked me this out of NOWHERE tonight in the car. He got really upset with me and said I was being disrespectful. Was I out of line???
