Nervous for Weds... Amnio?

So this past Thursday I found out that my labs came back with possible Down Syndrome and this weds I have to see a genetic counselor and they’re doing a special ultrasound to check the baby. And if it’s bad than they scheduled me for an amnio. I’m so nervous!! I need prayers. Has anyone ever had results like this but it ended up being nothing? This is my third pregnancy and I’ve never had anything like this happen. I just want my baby to be healthy. They also mentioned having to check it’s heart. Don’t know if it’s a boy or girl. I’m 18 + 4 weeks. I’m staying positive and praying and leaving it in God’s hands

Hey mama! We had a positive NIPT at 22 weeks BUT had a negative quad screening at 12 weeks. The NIPT and amnio are more accurate than anything. I’m 20, 19 during pregnancy, and my daughter has Down syndrome.  The first couple days after getting the news was probably the hardest. But I came to terms with it more and more throughout the rest of my pregnancy. I didn’t get the amnio, for medical reasons so I had to wait til I have birth to confirm it. After finding out; we went to a lot of ultrasounds so we got to see her a whole bunch, they did the heart ultrasound and said shed need to see a cardiologist after birth (totally normal for babies with DS) she had markers of DS and what not. At birth she was the most beautiful thing my eyes ever seen. She did have to see a cardiologist but everything was perfect so she didn’t have to go back. Now, as I’m laying here nursing her, I am so thankful to have such a special child in my life. I understand you may be scared and that’s totally normal, but keep your head up and know that god wouldn’t give you anything you can’t handle.
