Is it sexualizing it if you don’t like your husband kissing his mom on the lips?

I saw some women get into a argument in the comments about how it’s weird for a grown man to kiss him Mom on the lips. One women went on to say you’re nasty for sexualizing it. I personally don’t think it’s sexualizing it just because I don’t like it/ don’t think it’s normal. It’s just how I was raised and I don’t see myself kissing my sons on the lips when they’re older then 6. I guess it really depends on how you were raised. My husband personally also thinks it’s weird for a man in his 20 kissing his mom on the mouth.

If you think it’s weird because you see it as sexual, then yes you are specializing it. If you’re just not used to it then that’s different. I personally see nothing wrong with it. I kiss my Mom on the lips. I kiss some of my friends, male and female, on the lips. My step daughter is about to be 8 and she kisses my husband and I on the lips. It’s just normal to us. I can totally understand thinking it’s strange if you weren’t raised like that.

I find it very very veryyyy weird and besides that your not suppose to be kissing all these people in the mouth and especially NOT YOUR CHILDREN!! I dont see how parents can do this knowing they can pass germs/ diseases/ viruses to them. Sometimes adults cary viruses or bacteria that we dony even know that we have and we can transmit that to our children through saliva. Their immune system is still not strong enough like us adults. Parents/People really need to start thinking about these things.

I kiss both my parents on the lips and so do all 4 of my brothers. I'm 30. I see nothing wrong with it, but it is how we were raised. Each night we would give our parents a hug and kiss before going to sleep for the night or before going to school in the morning. for me, I'll accept kisses from my kids until they don't want to anymore whither that is now or 60 years from now. I won't force it on them though.

What’s so special about age 6 that you’d stop kissing them? And I do believe you’d have to be sexualizing it if you don’t like it. It’s a form of affection, nothing more. Do you think hugging their mom is weird?

To that mom, her son is always gonna be her baby. Doesn’t matter how big he gets, she probably still sees him as a little boy. I’ll stop kissing my kids on the lips when they don’t like it. As of now my 2&3 year olds give me big ol’ puckered lips every single day and I love it.
