Confused !

So I have my boyfriends side of the family telling me our son shouldn’t be using a crib until he’s about 6months or so, for him to sleep in something small like a bassinet type thing or with us in the bed. Then I have my side of the family telling me he’ll be completely fine in the crib as long as I’m using all safety precautions. What do you mommy’s think ??? What should I use or do ??? I guess this wouldn’t be a product recommendation ?? Or it could be ?? Lol FTM here...
