Sciatica Pain relief ?

So i don’t have a heating pad as of right now but I’m wondering if it actually helps for sciatica back pain? I don’t want to buy one if it won’t help much. My back pain also makes my hip numb and my knee cap very sore and the tops of my toes sore on my right side. I’m only 22 weeks so I still have a ways to go but I need to know what helps and what doesn’t... I’m not big into taking medicine if it’s not necessary so I haven’t tried Tylenol yet and would prefer to find a better solution first. Thanks in advance ladies!

Sit on a tennis ball. Roll until you find a knot and hang out there until it releases. Repeat!

I have sciatic pain really bad too. I’m 25+5 days and am worried what the rest of this pregnancy will hold. I’ve been seeing a PT who recommended icing but I find heating pads work best. I take Tylenol to take the edge off the pain and use a s-lock belt which supports my hips and back. Like the other ladies mentioned...what it boils down to is learning pain management skills.

I use a heating pad and sometimes I sleep in the recliner I also found rocking my hips helps too

I've had sciatica due to a back injury since my first deployment and all through out, it went away for the most part towards the end but after I got pregnant around 17/18 weeks it came back 500000x worse than how it felt over deployment. I'm now 22w+3d.
I was tired of feeling the pain, it kept me awake at night, I couldn't walk, get up, it hurt to use the bathroom, to cough, to sneeze, everything hurt!! I ended up in the ER twice within a week because I thought I was paralyzed and couldn't stand the pain. 
I was on physical therapy and medications during deployment, also had the luck of sleeping in a better and firmer mattress halfway through, but I veered off of all of that once I started to feel relief and got home. 
Being pregnant we're very limited to what we can do for relief and treatment, I pretty much decided to drop the ball and spend money on whatever it takes because I didn't want to feel miserable my entire pregnancy. 
I ended up going to a chiro a few times (if you do this make sure they know how to work with pregnant ladies), I'm doing acupuncture, I got a pregnancy massage, my s/o massages me when he comes over, I stretch (although this doesn't do much for me and this does get harder as your belly gets bigger), I also bought a pregnancy belt which did help a little with pain, made it more comfortable to be up. Minding my posture helped as well 
As much as it hurts try your best to keep moving around (take a few steps around your house for starters), I know it may seem like laying down is the only thing you want to do, but movement allows blood and nutrients to flow and help with healing. 
I still have uncomfortable pains now and I was told it'll only get worse as I get bigger, but having sciatica the most you can do during pregnancy is pain management. You know your body best so manage your pain as hoping it may just go away might not happen.
Sorry I went on about this, but I definitely have a feel for those with sciatica during pregnancy. It sucks and is very draining mentally, emotionally, and physically.
