PCOS, Ovulation Tracking & Metformin.

Hi girls, I've started an "ovulation tracking" & metformin cycle and I'm due to start taking the metformin 1000mg a day in a couple of weeks. I'm just wondering what to expect? I'm feeling nervous of the unknown. TTC for 1 year with no luck so far. We are hoping the metformin works for us. Has anyone had sucess with this sort of approach? Thanks for your time :)
