Which date is my due date?

According to my last period, I'm am suppose to be 7 weeks and 5 days, giving me the due date of December 15th. When I got my ultrasound at the ER, they measured me a whole week earlier, making me 6 weeks and 5 days, then the tech told me that my due date would be December 23rd but she also said not to be surprised if my ob/gyn keeps my due date at December 15th. Why is this?

That happened to me as well! My original EDD was 12/15 so i was 7w2d when i went but the baby measured at 6w6d. The ultrasound tech said the new due date would have been 12/18 but my ob probably would keep 12/15 because the baby could catch up in its growth. My doctor ended up keeping 12/15 and said not to be surprised if I went late. That was the explanation I got but everyone is different so you never know!

They typically don't change your due date if it is not more than a day 10 difference!

Stick with Dec 15. This early it may just be measuring big or small due to rate of growth. They will change it later if they have to. :)
