Is this normal?!?! Thoughts please!!!

FTM here. I’m 27w 2d & my baby is measuring 29w 3d, & approximately 2 pounds 9 ounces and he’s in the 93rd percentile, but they are not changing my due date apparently. Could my baby come sooner at this rate? Is there a reason my due date is still the same even though he’s big? Maybe he’s just growing fast. Thoughts?

Ther earlier in the pregnancy the ultrasound is the more accurate the due date is. So if you had a first trimester ultrasound they shouldn’t change the due date based on baby’s size. The closer to conception babies are the less normal variation there is between babies, which is why the earlier ultrasounds are more accurate. Think about adult size, we’re years away from conception and the normal range for adult height is several feet! 
Also, I just had a growth scan yesterday at 27+4. Baby was estimated to be 2 pounds 10 oz and at the 64 percentile. It also matters what part(s) of baby are measuring big, this little ones arms and legs are big, but her head is below average. My son was the opposite, his weight was below average, but his head was huge so he always measured about 10 days ahead and both are healthy and my son came right on time, hoping this one does as well!
