Why do women try and one up each when telling their birthing stories?

Does this annoy anyone else or is it just me being a bitch?
I feel like the majority of women I talk to, when it comes to birthing stories, they will always try and one up me, it's not just me though, I see other women doing it to other women!! It infuriates me!!!

Omg yes, I had a girl tell me that I was not in active labor for two hours. That I must have forgotten and that they’d never allow a woman to push for that long.  I’m like, are you jealous that I had to push for a longer length of time? Some women like to brag about that kind of stuff. Like why are you arguing with me about how long I pushed like two hours is unbelievable. I’ve heard of women pushing for a longer time than two hours and they were not in any hurry for me to finish. They were chillin.

Women that love attention and to bring others down. Everyone has a birth story that is just as special as someone else’s. Birth is not a contest.

I don't think that anyone does that intentionally. It's just that everyone has their own "story" and for them, that's the most significant one.
