Did you get a numbing shot inside your vagina while giving birth ?

My plan my entire second pregnancy was to get the epidural but of course things didn’t go as I wanted and I dilated too fast and wasn’t able to get it. They did give me numbing shots inside my vagina while I was trying to give birth. Did anyone else have this ? What did you think

I've never heard of a numbing shot for birth. I do believe they may have given me something when they were stitching me, but they didn't give me any shots in my vagina during labor.

I know they do it sometimes if they think they may have to do an episiotomy...?

Nope, got several after I gave birth while they stitched my vagina back together. I was so high with the post-delivery hormones it felt like she was tickling me, kinda weird.
