Well, after being married for 5 years and trying for about 3, we got our positive pregnancy test. Not under the circumstances we would have liked, but ready or not, here it is!
The reasons I wanted to have a baby are entirely out of love for my husband. See, I am the oldest of 6 kids and my mom went back to school to be a nurse when I was 10, so I pretty much raised my brothers and sisters. (At least that's how I felt) So I didn't really want kids. But Heavenly Father knew that in order for me to want kids it would have to be for reasons bigger than myself. My husband is adopted, and doesn't know his biological parents. So I want him to feel like he has another piece of himself out there. To have a connection to the future. So despite having 3 herniated discs in my back, and scoliosis as well as PCOS, and a dominant immediate family history of diabetes, I wanted to have a baby of our own for him. Knowing it would be hard for me to carry a pregnancy and very physically painful, I want to do it because I love him.
So I'm still in shock that we are pregnant, lol. Dr said it's still too early to tell if it's a healthy regular pregnancy or if the excruciating pain I was experiencing this morning was because it could potentially be a tubal pregnancy, so I get to just wait a few days to find out.
I just wanted to tell someone!!
