Currently pregnant with our first. Been married for almost 3 years. My in laws don’t call, text, anything to see how I’m doing during my pregnancy. They’ve called once in the last few months only to ask my husband for a favor(money/property wise) and my husband suggests we go to their house for the holidays. Mother in law never makes me feel welcome, I’ve welcomed her into our home numerous times. I want to spend the holidays with my family because we’re moving across the country soon and because my parents can’t travel due to my grandpa being sick. He wants to go with his family because we’re moving and their financial status would make it extremely difficult for them to visit us later on. Should I be uncomfortable during my pregnancy, and holidays to satisfy my husband? Every time we’ve gone to see his family, everyone looks at me like I’m just some temporary girlfriend. I get judged at the way I was raised, my parents were very financially stable and I always grew up with more than enough and my husband didn’t. I get judged for it all the time and I’m uncomfortable every time they ask about my family . The conversation always turns into an argument about who to spend our time with. Any advice?
