Possible GD?

I took the 1 hour glucose test last Thursday and saw online a few days later that my level was 188... but I haven't gotten a call from my doctor yet? It's been a week since my test and  from what I gather, this isn't a good number. Any advice on what to do? should I call?

My doctors office took almost 3 weeks to call me with my 1 hour results. Then they had me do the 3 hour test, and they called with those results within an hour. I was pretty annoyed, if they had been quicker with the first results I could have started dealing with this 2 weeks sooner. When I brought this up the nurse said that since so many people fail the 1 hour test they don’t worry about it too much. 🙄
Since you saw online that you failed the one hour, I’d call and they’ll probably send you for the 3 hour test. You could also start watching carbs....can’t hurt.

I’m kinda shocked they haven’t called you to do the 3 hour test since that is a pretty high level (most places cut off around 135-140). It DOES NOT mean you have GD though, which is why they will send you for the longer test. I have heard most people who fail the 1 pass the 3. I’m just still surprised they haven’t called you to set something up.
