First Prenatal Appointment

So, I had my first prenatal appointment. They decided to do a quick check to make sure that I wasn't having an ectopic pregnancy which surprised me as I always had to go to an outside facility since my insurance doesn't cover in office ultrasounds. Well, they gave me a surprise. Apparently I'm not 8w4d. They didn't do actual measurements, but looking at the baby I'm closer to 12 weeks!!!! The baby was moving around and you could make out the baby's arms and legs. I was shocked!!! I have to go to get an ultrasound on Friday to find out exactly how far along I am. I also have to see the high risk doctor as well because of my history and age. I wanted to see what you guys think. Is my ultrasound around 8 weeks like I'm supposed to be or do you think that it's actually closer to 12 weeks?
