Catch her if you can!!!

Well, here’s my birth story.... FINALLY😅

It all began last night. As my husband and I came to the ER 5 centimeters dilated. We’ve been here many times due to severe pelvic pains. They sent us home every time because I was only 4.5 centimeters at the time. We were told that I needed to be 5 in order to get induced. We came in last night and they told us I was already 5. They said,”Let’s try to get you to 6 & so that we can take you to L&D;🙄” I walked for an hour and a half. Nothing changed, so they sent me home😡

I woke up this morning with severe pelvic pressure and pain. I could barely even make it to the bathroom from the pain. I couldn’t take the pain and coming back to the ER was not in my plans, due to always being sent back home with pain. So, later today I called my OB and explained my dilemma to the RN. She then told me to go to triage and request to see our on call OB. So I did.

Within minutes of getting here, I was checked & was already 6.5 centimeters dilated. They hooked me up and got me ready for L&D.; The on call OB then broke my water. Shortly after that, I received an epidural & literally, 15

minutes after the epidural was set, I started to feel a lot pressure on my rectum. The nurse asked if I was ok. I told her that I felt like pooping. She asked,” ALREADY? Let me check you”. When she did, I was at 9.5 centimeters dilated and ready to go. Her head was right at the canal and she was coming!!! The OB came running in with almost no time to get dressed.

Our little girl didn’t want to wait any longer and her head popped out. 3 pushes later and our little girl was born!! I was in labor for a total of 2hrs, max. So thankful that everything went so fast and smooth!
