Sex on your period

On Saturday night I started spotting. On Sunday my period was very very light which isn’t normal for me but I assumed my birth control was finally doing what it was supposed to after roughly 8 months. I had a date with my boyfriend who I don’t get to see very often. Since flo was light we decided to go ahead and have sex a couple times. He got off inside me each time. Sunday night I was just spotting again and by Monday night it was completely gone. I had started using feminine wipes more over the last few days. I’ve never had sex on my period before so I’m not sure what to expect. Usually my periods are pretty heavy and last almost a full week. Is this something I should be concerned about or is it normal?
